Abbott in Ft. Wayne, IN is hiring a Pediatric Sales Specialist to promote nutritional products in hospital and office settings. This role covers territory in Ft. Wayne with up to 50% travel; a company car is provided and relocation is not offered.

The candidate will manage negotiations, maintain product knowledge, and collaborate with clinicians to drive growth for Similac and PediaSure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare sales experience preferred.
• 2+ years of healthcare sales experience with clinical exposure (RDNs/RNs).
• Knowledge of hospital pediatric settings is a plus.
• Vendor credentialing requirements including vaccines may apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory sales goals in hospitals and offices for Similac and PediaSure.
• Lead hospital negotiations and contracting activities.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, studies, and guidelines.
• Support new product launches and manage hospital department relationships.
• Coordinate with dietitians, physicians, and nurses; budget management.

Our location in Ft. Wayne, IN has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist. This position is responsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings.

TERRITORY

• The ideal candidate will be based out of Ft. Wayne, IN
• This territory includes Ft. Wayne, IN
• Up to 50% travel - company car provided.
• This position does not offer relocation. Local candidates only, please.

What You’ll Do

• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office settings for Similac and PediaSure.
• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well as the ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such as NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management.
• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short- and long-term goals.

Education And Experience You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree required.
• The ideal candidate will be individuals with 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
• Stability and proven success in sales
• Subject matter expert and high business acumen
• Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics a plus.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 - $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
