Responsibilities

• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines and ability to deliver information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• Understand hospital department hierarchy (NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, Nursing units) and work with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills and budget management.
• Function independently with initiative and autonomy.

Our location in Columbus, OH has an opportunity for a Pediatric Sales Specialist.

This position isresponsible for the promotion, management and growth of Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products inhospital and office settings.

Territory

• The ideal candidate should reside in Columbus, OH.
• This territory covers Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and surrounding areas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and supporting territory sales goals in each hospital and office settings forSimilac and PediaSure.
• Hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines as well asthe ability to deliver the information in a selling environment.
• New product launches.
• An understanding of the hierarchy of hospital departments such asNICU,Pediatrics,Pharmacies,Purchasing,PICU, Nurseries and Nursing units. The ability to workeffectivelywithDietitians,Physiciansand Nurses.
• Effective administrative skills.
• Budget management.
• Ability to function independently with a high degree of initiative, independence, and autonomy.
• Desire to be self- motivated, seeking out success at achieving both short- and long-term goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor's degree required.
• The ideal candidate will beindividuals with 2+ years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience (Registered Dietitians and Registered Nurses).
• Stability and proven success in sales
• Subject matter expert and high business acumen
• Knowledge of hospital settings, specifically within pediatrics a plus.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
