Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a registered nurse in Chicago. The role requires a BSN or higher, IL RN licensure, and Basic Life Support certification. Strong communication with patients, families and the care team is essential.

The nurse will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, educate families, and contribute to quality initiatives in a collaborative pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher is required.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments using approved methods and tools.
• Develop and update plans of care to meet family needs.
• Educate patients and families with tailored teaching plans.
• Deliver nursing care per protocols and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to identify care needs.
• Maintain current nursing practice knowledge and participate in quality initiatives.
