Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the night shift to perform comprehensive patient assessments and craft individualized care plans. You will administer medications accurately, monitor responses, and ensure safety in a fast-paced unit.

You will educate patients and families, document in the EMR, collaborate with the care team, and uphold clinical standards while advancing patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida (Board of Nursing).
• Experience in critical care settings required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR systems Cerner and EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and data gathering.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders, monitor safety.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans, and self-care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Document care activities in EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and policies.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, guiding high-quality care.
• Uphold infection control and safety standards.
• Respond to life-threatening situations per protocols.
