Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a registered nurse to deliver direct patient care in a pediatric setting. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within nursing standards.

Work is in a full-time, 36-hour weekly schedule with day/night rotations, weekend and holiday coverage. Preferred candidates have pediatric nursing experience and a Bachelor’s in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment and educates on post-treatment home care and medications.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance initiatives; engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional needs and respects patient values and cultural considerations.
• Performs in a safety-sensitive role requiring vigilance and safe practices.
