Job summary
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ED/ICU-influenced role. The 36-hour, full-time position rotates among Days, Eves, and Nights, with emphasis on high-acuity pediatric care and patient-family centered outcomes.
The role requires a current RN license with at least 1 year of RN experience, ideally in ED/ICU or related critical care settings. Candidates should have strong PIV skills and be committed to CHOP's standards of excellence in nursing practice.
Qualifications
- RN with current licensure in PA/NJ
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Pediatrics or area of specialty preferred
- ED/ICU/VAS experience beneficial
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care following the nursing process.
- Gathers and synthesizes patient data to plan care and delegate tasks.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Develops and revises care plans on admission and during hospitalization.
- Ensure safe hand-off communications and adherence to patient safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families, evolving into an expert educator over time.
- Assess ethical considerations and seek resources to resolve dilemmas.
