We are hiring for a Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse in Walker and the surrounding area to provide pediatric private duty care. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Case-specific Enhanced Pay Rates are offered with 8-12 shifts. We provide flexible FT/PT hours and weekly pay.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in Home and Community Based Services provides and directs nursing and personal care to patients in their homes, as prescribed by the physician or authorized by the state/program, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The RN coordinates care plans with other healthcare professionals and ensures continuity of care by sharing information with physicians, agency staff, patients, families, case managers, and community resources.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical services within scope of practice and infection control standards, following care plans and coordinating with the care team from admission to discharge.
• Conduct clinical nursing assessments as per federal/state requirements and payer specifications.
• Verify patient eligibility and medical necessity for services.
• Develop and revise individualized care and service plans with other providers.
• Ensure care plans meet patient needs, revising as necessary with physician approval.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

State-Specific Requirements

• LA: At least one year of clinical RN experience; experience as an LPN may be considered. RN licensure must be unrestricted.
