Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support outpatient pediatric care at the Austin Center.

The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care. Applicants must hold an Illinois RN license and BLS, with BSN preferred; ADN with equivalent experience considered for difficult-to-fill roles.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN preferred or equivalent experience for eligible positions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments using established methods and area-specific tools.
• Develop and update plans of care and educate families on care plans.
• Communicate patient status and needs to the multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to protocols, safety and quality initiatives in daily practice.
• Maintain up-to-date nursing practice through evidence-based resources.
