Job summary

Avera Pediatric Specialists Sioux Falls is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients and families. You will coordinate patient care with physicians and the healthcare team, administer treatments, and support procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, taking vitals, documenting in charts, educating families about care plans, and ensuring timely flow of appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform essential nursing duties and communicate with the care team.
• Ability to observe, assess, and document patient conditions accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients and administers prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during procedures and testing.
• Observes and reports patient condition and reactions to treatments to the physician.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and maintains timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients, conducts health history intake, measures vitals, and documents information.
• Responds to patient calls with input from the physician and coordinates care.
