Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients from birth through adolescence in a 40+ bed pediatric unit. The role requires prior pediatric RN experience and a current RN license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
Current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification.
Pediatric RN experience preferred.
Ability to work the day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and participate in self-scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, and developmental domains.
Plan and coordinate comprehensive patient care with input from family and health team.
Implement and supervise nursing care in accordance with physician orders and policies.
Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
Document care clearly in the patient record and communicate status to the team.
Contribute to quality improvement and share leadership within the unit.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective pediatric care.
