Job summary

American College of Rheumatology seeks an Assistant Professor-level physician-scientist to lead the new Integrated Multidisciplinary Pediatric Autoimmunity and Cell Therapy Center. The role combines clinical pediatric rheumatology with translational laboratory research and cross-disciplinary collaboration across Children’s Hospital specialties.

The candidate will oversee development of CAR T cell therapy programs for pediatric rheumatic diseases, mentor trainees, and drive major research

Qualifications

• MD or MD, PhD and board certification in pediatric rheumatology.
• Strong research background in basic and translational immunology.
• Experience mentoring trainees and training researchers.

Responsibilities

• Allocate 20% effort to outpatient pediatric rheumatology consultations and on-call inpatient consultations.
• dedicate 75% effort to laboratory-based translational immunology research.
• engage in other academic activities 5% of time.

Education

MD or MD, PhD

Board-certified pediatric rheumatologist

Substantial research experience in basic & translational immunology

Demonstrated mentorship & research training experience
