Job summary

The Division of Rheumatology within the UW Department of Pediatrics invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (without tenure by reason of funding) on the Clinician-Scholar track. This full-time position offers a strong mix of pediatric rheumatology clinical care and scholarly activity, with an anticipated start date in winter 2026.

Qualifications

• Requires an MD, DO, or MD/DO combined (or foreign equivalent).
• Must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
• USMLE steps required for H-1B visa eligibility for foreign graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric rheumatology clinical care in outpatient, inpatient, and outreach settings.
• Manage immunosuppressive medications and perform intraarticular aspirations/injections.
• Potentially serve as Associate Program Director (APD) of the rheumatology fellowship program.
• Balance clinical work (80%, or 70% if APD) with administrative and scholarly activities including teaching and mentoring.
