Job summary

Home of the Innocents is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Educator to lead clinical training and competency development for our pediatric respiratory care team at Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center.

You will design hands-on training, coordinate the simulation lab, and partner with colleges to support student rotations, while serving as the expert voice for respiratory education across the organization.

Qualifications

• Active RT license in Kentucky is required.
• RRT credential required.
• CPR/BLS Instructor Certification is required (training provided by employer).
• Minimum 2 years RT experience in acute or long-term care.
• Ability to apply adult learning principles to training.
• Strong LMS and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver competency-based respiratory therapy training for staff.
• Coordinate and manage simulation lab and training calendar.
• Onboard new staff and support Skills Validators.
• Partner with colleges/universities for student rotations and academic partnerships.
• Serve as LMS champion and create training content across departments.
