Job summary

Children’s Nebraska seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a busy hospital setting. This full-time role includes nights and every 4th weekend, with a $15,000 bonus for external applicants.

You will assess patient needs, operate respiratory equipment, document care, and participate in precepting and education within the Children’s Nebraska team. Required credentials include Nebraska RCP license, BLS, and RRT with NPS, plus PALS within 180 days.

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides neonatal and pediatric respiratory therapies per hospital protocol.
• Assesses and plans respiratory care; documents patient responses.
• Precepts, orients, and evaluates RT students and staff as needed.
• Maintains accurate electronic medical record entries for therapies.
