Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an experienced pediatric inpatient RN to provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process. You will join an interdisciplinary team and support patient care across multiple UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care for patients with complex needs, and assisting in managing care delivered by other nursing staff. Requires CA RN licensure and CPR; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years inpatient RN experience with pediatric medical-surgical patients.
• Experience with acute and chronic respiratory, GI disorders, epilepsy, rehab, immunology, eating disorders.
• Experience with pediatric patients with medical diagnoses and behavioral/psychiatric health conditions.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and duties.
• Performs nursing care for patients with complex needs with supervision and assistance.
• Assist with management of patient care administered by other nursing team members.
