Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Director of Pediatrics and Pediatric Residency Program Director. This role combines clinical leadership with oversight of the residency program, accreditation activities, curriculum development, and resident/faculty evaluations.

The position includes maintaining an active pediatric outpatient practice, ensuring high-quality care, and coordinating with TFHC leadership to promote evidence-based pediatric services across TFHC

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• Active and unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for pediatric providers and health center operations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of pediatric providers.
• Monitor pediatric quality measures, productivity, access, compliance, and clinical performance.
• Promote evidence-based practices and consistent standards of pediatric care across TFHC locations.
• Lead pediatric chart reviews, peer reviews, and performance-improvement processes.
• Support accreditation and regulatory readiness (ACGME, AAAHC, UDS, NCQA, HRSA).
• Oversee the residency curriculum, rotations, evaluations, and educational activities.
• Maintain compliance with ACGME institutional and program requirements.
