Job summary

J.D. McCarty Center in Norman, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to developmentally disabled patients ages birth to 21 during the 7pm–7am shift.

You will administer medications, monitor progress, and educate families and patients as needed. You will develop and manage nursing care plans, participate in evaluating current and future medical needs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in Oklahoma; degree required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• One year probation period.
• In good standing with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and maintain nursing standards while supporting patients with medical needs.
• Develop and implement care plans, communicate with patients, families and medical team to meet goals.
• Attend conferences and courses for ongoing care and assist Nursing Administration with data collection for QA/QI.
