Job summary

TPG PC’s pediatric practice in Chantilly & Reston, VA seeks a friendly, organized Medical Receptionist to float between offices. The role is full-time with four 9.5-hour weekdays (6:45 AM–5:00 PM) and rotating half-day Saturdays (8:00 AM–12:00 PM).

You’ll be the first welcome for families, handling check-ins, calls, and scheduling in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• At least one year of medical receptionist experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience using EMR or Practice Management software strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and families warmly and professionally.
• Checking patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
• Answering a high volume of calls with excellent customer service.
• Scheduling appointments using provider guidelines to maximize access.
• Verifying insurance, updating demographics, and collecting copayments.
• Scanning and organizing medical records in the EHR system.
• Ensuring patient information is complete before appointments.
• Collaborating with teammates to keep the office running smoothly during busy days.

Medical Receptionist – Pediatric Practice

Locations: Chantilly & Reston, VA Position: Full-Time Medical Receptionist (Float between both offices as needed)

What You'll Do

As one of the first people our families meet, you'll help create a positive experience for every patient visit.

Your day will include:

• Greeting patients and families with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
• Checking patients in and out while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Answering a high volume of incoming phone calls with confidence and excellent customer service
• Scheduling appointments using provider scheduling guidelines to maximize patient access
• Verifying insurance, updating patient demographics, and collecting copayments and balances
• Scanning and organizing medical records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Supporting providers by ensuring patient information is complete before appointments
• Working closely with teammates to keep the office running smoothly during busy clinic days

What We\'r Looking For

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred)
• At least one year of medical receptionist experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Practice Management software strongly preferred
