Job summary

Advocate Health in Macon, GA is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures for pediatric patients at Navicent Health Medical Center.

You will verify patient identity, prepare and administer contrast media, document histories, and consult with radiologists to ensure accurate positioning and quality imaging. Must be ARRT-acceptable, registry-eligible within 1 year, and BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
• Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients and handling equipment; must have good communication skills and adapt to temperature/humidity changes.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by procedure and demonstrates correct positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
