Job summary

WVU Medicine in Morgantown seeks a Pediatric Radiologic Technologist to provide imaging and patient care within the Radiology Department. The successful candidate rotates across diagnostic areas, delivers high-quality images, and ensures patient safety through optimized exposure and shielding.

Responsibilities include patient education, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to ARRT/state licensure requirements along with Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Current Radiography License for the applicable state.
• ARRT registration as required by state (upon hire).
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills.
• Produces images of optimal quality using imaging equipment and protocols.
• Selects exposure factors based on patient size and condition to optimize results.
• Minimizes radiation exposure through shielding, collimation, and proper technique.
• Educates patients about radiographic procedures and answers questions.
• Promotes teamwork with radiology staff and other departments.
• Reports equipment failures promptly and completes required competencies.
