Job summary

SPOT, Inc. is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our pediatric team in Northern California for outpatient and early intervention services.

This hybrid, part-time role offers flexible scheduling and close collaboration with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver individualized care plans that enhance children's gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and functional participation in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from a CAPTE-accredited college or school.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (CA).
• Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric patients.
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and assistive devices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions and group activities to improve gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
• Monitor and document progress; communicate with the PT about treatment plan adjustments.
• Assist in maintenance and organization of therapy materials and equipment.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
