Job summary

MedCare Pediatric in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one therapy in homes, daycares, and schools. Flexible scheduling includes full-time, part-time, and PRN options, with support for professional growth and a collaborative team environment.

You will work under a licensed PT, implement treatment plans, educate families, and document progress to help children improve mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas PTA license or eligible to obtain by start date
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist according to plans of care
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, ROM, endurance, gait, and functional independence
• Educate and train families and caregivers on exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and report updates to supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
