Job summary

TheraCare Queens is seeking a Physical Therapist for Early Intervention services, specializing in supporting children from birth to 3 years with developmental delays. The role involves evaluating and treating young children, creating personalized treatment plans, and educating families to aid in their development.

Ideal candidates possess a current NYS license, a degree in physical therapy, and preferably experience in pediatrics. Flexible scheduling with competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Current NYS license and registration as a Physical Therapist.
• Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Experience in pediatrics or early childhood preferred.
• Strong understanding of motor development and family-centered practices.
• Ability to work independently in varied home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and provide physical therapy to children ages 0–3.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate families on activities to promote developmental progress.
• Document services and maintain records per NYC EI standards.
• Participate in IFSP meetings and collaborate with teams.
