Job summary

Speak To Me Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a qualified part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join a collaborative team of therapists. The role focuses on pediatric patients in the clinic setting, following established plans of care.

You will work with families and other providers, ensure effective communication, and help with equipment and orthotics needs while adhering to NC state law and APTA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pediatric care knowledge and experience in PT.
• Understanding of orthopedic, neurological and MSK conditions in children.
• Familiarity with sensory processing and pediatric PT best practices.
• Experience with adaptive equipment and orthotics management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the lead Physical Therapist and follow the plan of care that has been created.
• Provide effective written and verbal communication with families, therapists, and other providers.
• Make appropriate care recommendations based on need (equipment, orthotics, other therapy services).
• Establish partnerships and positive relationships between providers, patients, and families.
• Manage weekly schedule based on availability and patient need.
• Adhere to the regulatory and practice standards of Pediatric Physical Therapy in North Carolina, along with APTA.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required as part of the natural course of employment at Speak To Me, Inc.
