Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Holds an applicable and current, unrestricted license.
• Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
• Thrives on being part of a team, working alongside other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under physicians orders and in collaboration with supervising physical therapist.
• Prepare detailed documentation of treatment provided, length of treatment and progress toward outcomes identified in plan of care.
• Follow treatment plans to suit individual needs of a diverse population.
• Prepare therapy material and equipment for use in therapy activities; adapt materials as needed.
• Educate patients, parents, and caregivers.
• Report patient progress to appropriate parties including family members, caregiver, or medical professional.
