Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Pediatric Psychologist to join outpatient behavioral health and child development clinics in Anchorage. You will evaluate and stabilize patients in crisis, perform diagnostic interviews, and make treatment recommendations for referrals from PCPs.

Qualifications

• Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or health-related field.
• Current State of Alaska license as Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) or ability to obtain one.
• Board Eligible preferred.
• 2 years of experience providing pediatric psychology services.
• Strong knowledge of mental health issues in theory and practice.
• Knowledge of assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for specific populations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and stabilize patients who may be in crisis while in clinic.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews and make treatment recommendations for patients referred by PCP.
• Provide timely diagnosis to children with developmental concerns.
• Provide brief, solution-focused therapy when appropriate.
• Provide psychotherapy.
• Consult with PCP and other care team members as needed.
