Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK seeks a full-time Licensed Clinical Pediatric Psychologist to join our Outpatient Behavioral Health and Child Development clinics. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients, providing evidence-based therapies and crisis intervention as needed.

Opportunity exists to supervise interns and contribute to clinical training.

Qualifications

• Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or health-related field.
• Current State of Alaska license as Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) (or ability to obtain one).
• Board Eligible preferred.
• 2 years of experience providing pediatric psychology services.
• Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health issues in both theory and practice.
• Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for specific populations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and stabilize patients who may be in crisis in the clinic.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews and make treatment recommendations for patients referred by PCP.
• Provide supervision and training to interns and post-doc caregivers.
