Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a licensed psychologist to provide comprehensive mental health services across the lifespan. The role involves patient assessment, psychological testing, and delivering individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

You will document treatment plans, collaborate with a psychiatry team, supervise students and residents, and contribute to community outreach and program development within the Department of Psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited program.
• SC license to practice clinical psychology or eligibility/permitting requirements.
• Experience with assessment, therapy, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.
• Conduct psychological testing and assessment for designated patients.
• Document testing reports, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner.
• Participate in the training/teaching of students and residents.

Job Summary

The position is responsible for patient assessment, psychological testing and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. Provides individual, couples, family and group behavioral treatment, patient and community, and student education.

Accountabilities

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. Utilize independent decision-making in plan of care for therapy services provided.
• Conduct psychological testing and assessment for designated psychiatric patients.
• Provide timely professional documentation of psychological testing reports, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Participate in the training/teaching of students and residents.
• Works in conjunction with treating psychiatrist and makes appropriate referrals to other professionals or community services as needed.
• Actively participate in development of psychological services for the Department of Psychiatry, to include community outreach and education

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Doctorate in Clinical psychology, PhD or PsyD
• 1 year of Post-doctoral experience in medical setting

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

South Carolina License to Practice Clinical Psychology (Lawson Code LLCP)

In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements

PsyD is the equivalent to PhD. EdD accepted as long as licensure is obtained.

Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements. In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification.
