Job summary

Prisma Health Medical Group in collaboration with USC Floyd School of Medicine seeks a child psychologist to join the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics division. You will conduct psychological assessments, contribute to research, and teach students and residents.

The position offers a faculty appointment commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, malpractice tail coverage, and opportunities for community outreach. Epic EMR is used to document care.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology and licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina
• Experience with developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorders preferred
• Demonstrated ability to document assessments and treatment plans clearly and timely

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental and behavioral assessments
• Provide timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes

Job description

Prisma Health Medical Group and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina Floyd School of Medicine are seeking to add a child psychologist to the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. The Division is a comprehensive center offering teaching, patient care, and research opportunities staffed presently by four developmental pediatricians and five PhD-level child psychologists.

Details:

• Conduct psychological assessment of a variety of developmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay and intellectual disability, learning disabilities, and ADHD.
• Provide timely professional documentation of psychological assessment, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in the training/teaching of students and residents.
• Work in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team to make appropriate referrals to other professionals or community services as needed.
• Actively participate in the development and improvement of psychological services, to include community outreach and education
