Job summary

Shriners Children's is seeking a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. This role fabricates a variety of orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients, measuring and fitting patients, and serving as a clinical resource for staff.

The position requires certification as an orthotist and prosthetist with at least one year of experience in each specialty; ABPBC/BOC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Orthotist certification required.
• Prosthetics certification required.
• American Board for Certification and Prosthetics (ABCP) preferred.
• Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate specific orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients.
• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting under the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager.
• Perform administrative and operational support for the department as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and professional standards in interactions.
