Job summary

OP Specialty Bracing is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist in Danville, PA to join our pediatric-focused team. The role involves fitting and optimizing braces for children under physician guidance, with emphasis on comfort and proper function, in collaboration with our clinical staff.

Candidates should have a BS degree, MSPO, and NCOPE residency completion, plus 2+ years of related experience. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, and retirement benefits, with PTO and holidays included.

Qualifications

• Formal education and practical residency in orthotics/prosthetics.
• Two+ years related experience or training.
• MSPO degree and NCOPE residency completion.

Responsibilities

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs; identify factors affecting fit.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices; adjust for proper fit, function, and comfort.
• Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses.
• Design orthopedic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and measurements.
• Maintain patients' records.
• Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Select materials and components based on device design.
• Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify orthopedic appliances.
• Construct and fabricate appliances or direct others constructing the appliances.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university

Two plus years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience

Master's of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO)

Completion of NCOPE certified residency program
