Job summary

SupportFinity™ is hiring a Prior Authorization Coordinator in Knoxville, Iowa, to facilitate insurance approvals for patients. In this role, you will work closely with medical providers and families to ensure timely treatment access.

This position requires strong detail orientation and problem-solving skills, along with experience in medical billing or insurance verification. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, along with standard business hours with no weekends or on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in medical billing, insurance verification, prior authorization, or a clinical office setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and coding (ICD‐10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and confirm patient eligibility.
• Submit authorization requests accurately with necessary documentation.
• Track pending authorizations and manage updates.
• Handle denials and initiate appeals when needed.
• Communicate with providers and patients about authorization status.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR.
