Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Primary Care team in Wilmington, DE. The RN will provide pediatric, family-centered care in collaboration with clinicians, perform assessments, administer medications, and support the office with clinical operations.

The role requires RN licensure in Delaware, pediatric office experience, BLS certification, and willingness to pursue BSN within three years. This is an on-site position with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Delaware is required or eligible.
• BSN preferred; willing to obtain BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Pediatric Office Nurse experience is required.
• Phone Triage experience is preferred.
• BLS Certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Follow the nursing process to deliver care: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Synthesize patient assessments and communicate complex situations to the care team.
• Document ongoing evaluation and effectiveness of patient care.
• Provide care that meets professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Safely administer medications as prescribed by the provider.
• Triage patient calls using pediatric protocols and telehealth standards.
• Assist the provider with in-office procedures within the nurse's scope.
• Perform phlebotomy to obtain blood samples and run back-office tests.
• Provide age- and developmentally appropriate care to pediatric patients.
