Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatric Primary Care Physician to the team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed Level I Trauma Center and NC B Hospital has 213 licensed beds, with a strong academic affiliation to Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The role requires board certification or eligibility in pediatrics and an active New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Function independently to complete history and physical data on patients and determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Complete physical exams as medically necessary.
• Collaborate with multi-specialty colleagues within a world-class health system.
• Manage all patient interactions within area of service.
• May manage both acute and chronic conditions.
• Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Opportunity Details:

• Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients, performs complete physical exams, and interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs.
• Completes physical exams to the extent of what is medically necessary in the normal course of treatment for a specific patient.
• Collaborates with multi-specialty colleagues, working as an integral part of a world-class health system.
• Responsible for all patient interactions within area of service.
• May manage both acute and chronic conditions.
• Work schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $236,000* (board eligible); $241,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $355,120** (board eligible) and $360,620** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
  • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
• Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
