Job summary

Care for Kids in Austin, TX is seeking a Primary Care NP or PA to provide pediatric care from infancy through adolescence, including preventive visits, well‑child exams, and acute illness management. The clinic‑based role emphasizes continuity of care and building long‑term relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities include developmental screenings, immunizations, chronic condition management, care coordination with physicians and specialists, and thorough EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN/APRN licensure and active national NP/PA certification.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification required; experience in pediatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric care from infancy through adolescence.
• Perform well-child visits and annual wellness exams.
• Conduct developmental, growth, and preventive screenings.
• Evaluate and treat common pediatric illnesses and chronic conditions.
• Manage immunizations and anticipatory guidance.
• Coordinate care with physicians and specialists.
• Document thoroughly in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain ongoing follow-up and patient/family education.
