Children’s Minnesota in Minneapolis is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by a provider or RN.

The role includes escorting patients, preparing medications, assisting with procedures, collecting lab specimens, and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and completion of MA program or LPN/RN; BLS certification preferred; pediatric experience is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Phlebotomy and basic laboratory skills (if required by clinic site).
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of an LPN/LVN or RN program.

Aufgaben

• Escort patients to exam room and appropriately document information.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by clinician, such as hearing/vision tests, strep testing, nebulizer treatments and urine catheterizations.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection and processing to ensure accurate testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality.
