Children's Minnesota, a premier pediatric health system in Minnesota, seeks a Medical Assistant to provide professional family-centered care for infants through adolescence. You will support providers with exams, administer meds, and assist procedures in a children-focused environment.

The role requires completion of MA training or nursing program and a valid BLS. Competitive benefits accompany a market-competitive salary in full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR completion of an LPN/LVN or RN program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam room and appropriately document information.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments such as hearing/vision tests, rapid strep testing, nebulizer treatments and urine catheterizations.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection and processing to ensure accurate testing while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with laws, regulations, policies and standards.
