Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Pre/Post Op RN for a Level I Trauma Center in Virginia. This travel assignment requires ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and an active VA or compact RN license.

You will work in a 10-bed Pediatric PeriAnesthesia Unit with a 4-bed PSOU, night shifts 19:00-7:30, 13 weeks, 1:4 patient ratio, and Epic charting. Compensation includes weekly pay of $1,857 with lodging and meals stipends.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Epic charting system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care to pediatric surgical patients.
• Manage pediatric patients undergoing ENT, general, and orthopedic procedures.
• Monitor pain and administer medications; discharge planning as needed.
• Perform circulation checks and infection control as part of patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team using Epic charting.
