Job summary

UVA Health seeks a Population Health Interoperability Specialist to convert data from multiple sources into standardized formats for population health analytics. The role loads data into the HDI platform, supports API data loading, and validates data with clinicians.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with claims and EHR data, familiarity with Oracle Cloud, SQL, scripting, and Tableau, and strong data integrity skills. This is a fulltime, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a field related to data analytics
• 3-5 years of experience in design, collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative information
• Experience with claims and electronic health record data and Health Information Exchange data
• Experience with multiple EHR vendors (Epic, Oracle, Office Practicum, eClinicalWorks)
• Certifications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle SQL, and/or Tableau
• Knowledge of data cleaning methods and transformation; scripting to clean and transform textual data
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting language
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large workloads and shifting priorities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department to gather data requirements, formats, conversions and ETL processes
• Support CIN data needs and display of data for contracts
• Maintain documentation for design, coding and data utilization
• Cleanse and transform data using statistical methods and algorithms as needed
• Ensure data integrity and security across data management systems
• Identify opportunities for improvements and optimize the environment
• Stay current with data management and analytics trends
• Handle additional duties and projects as assigned
