Job summary

CHOC Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist I (Evening) to perform sleep studies on infants and children, calibrate equipment, monitor setup, and score results per AASM guidelines. Documentation is prepared for physicians to ensure accurate clinical information.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of direct patient care in sleep disorders or related fields, is pursuing or has a state license, and can work in a fast-paced pediatric environment.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED and completion of Polysomnography workshops, courses, seminars, and/or comparable experience in an EEG/Respiratory and/or Sleep Disorders Laboratory.
• Required: RPSGT with BRPT or Board eligible; RPSGT must be obtained within one year of hire; Medical Board of California license for Polysomnographic Technologist or Trainee.

Responsibilities

• Perform sleep studies on infants and children including calibrations, monitoring equipment setup, and scoring based on American Academy of Sleep Medicine Guidelines.
• Process all documentation to provide accurate information to the physician and contribute to high-quality patient care.
