Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Pediatric Physical Therapist will provide therapy services to preschool-aged children (3–5 years old) with a range of physical and developmental needs. Services will be delivered in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with special education staff, related service providers, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy services in classroom or one-on-one settings
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and therapists to support integrated goals
• Track progress, maintain documentation, and submit reports as required by CPSE and NYSED
• Participate in team meetings, CPSE reviews, and family consultations
• Provide education and training to staff on movement-based supports and classroom adaptations

Qualifications:

• NYS Licensure as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
• Experience working with young children (birth–5), particularly in educational or pediatric settings
