Job summary

Stanislaus County Health Services Agency seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist to serve children from birth to 21 years under the CCS Medical Therapy Program. The role emphasizes evaluation, goal-directed treatment planning, and collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams in outpatient, home, or community settings.

Qualified candidates will possess California PT licensure and experience in pediatric care, with opportunities to supervise aides and participate in IEP processes

Qualifications

• Current licensure with the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Authorization to take the licensing exam under supervision (PT license applicant).
• Current licensure with the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensing permit from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Design treatment programs with functional goals based on evaluation.
• Review clinical records and physician referrals to plan care.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress reports.
• Attend clinics, case conferences, staff meetings, and trainings.
• Evaluate for adaptive equipment and instruct caregivers in use.
• Provide therapy recommendations to families and caregivers.
• Participate in IEP processes and represent the Medical Therapy Program.
• Provide direction to Therapy Aides, volunteers and interns.
