Job summary

The Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, MA, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement pediatric physical therapy interventions to maximize independence and participation in daily activities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design individualized plans of care, support family-centered practices, and contribute to discharge planning and documentation to ensure safe, effective care for children up to age 18.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• MA PT license
• Preferred: 1 year physical therapy experience
• Preferred: pediatric experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, and implements physical therapy interventions to restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function in pediatric patients.
• Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the patient and their family.
• Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as mentoring and providing education to students and other professionals.
• Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation.
