Job summary

Simply Innovative Therapies on Long Island seeks a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide pediatric therapy for Early Intervention and school-age students across home, school, and community settings. You will evaluate and treat children with gross motor delays and functional movement challenges to improve strength, balance, endurance, and participation in daily routines.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Physical Therapist license is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree from an accredited program.
• Pediatric experience preferred; EI and/or school-based experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students.
• Provide direct physical therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings.
• Address gross motor development, balance, strength, coordination, posture and gait.
• Implement developmentally appropriate interventions to support functional movement.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to support carryover of skills.
• Complete required documentation including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports.
• Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with NYS and APTA guidelines.
