Alta Mira Specialized Family Services in Albuquerque, NM seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide in-home Early Intervention services for children birth to age 3. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement therapy in the child’s natural environment.

The role emphasizes a family-centered approach, collaboration with caregivers, and documentation within IFSP processes, with a balanced 40-hour workweek and supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold New Mexico Physical Therapist license.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in initial and ongoing developmental assessments for birth to 3 children.
• Administer, score, and interpret formal testing instruments and document IFSP results.
• Integrate informal observations with formal testing to reflect the child’s needs.
• Collaborate with families and staff during team assessments and IFSP planning.
• Develop and monitor developmentally appropriate IFSP goals with families.
• Complete IFSP paperwork accurately and on schedule.
• Plan and coordinate therapy activities within home and natural environments.
• Provide therapy services (OT, PT, SLP) and support carryover with families.
• Supervise practicum students and provide mentoring as needed.
• Maintain accurate therapy logs and documentation; ensure compliance with agency guidelines.
