Job summary

The Therapy Place in Columbia, SC is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. This full-time, hourly role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care for children from birth to 18, aiming to improve mobility and independence with evidence-based PT services.

You will work closely with families and colleagues to implement individualized care plans, document progress, and support carryover to home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Eligible for and maintains South Carolina Physical Therapy licensure.
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric physical therapy.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to adapt treatment to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for working with children and supporting families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.
• Provide direct, evidence-based therapy services to pediatric patients.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate caregivers and provide home exercise programs to support carryover.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, orthotics, and mobility supports as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic, state, and payer requirements.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and professional standards.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, educators, and administrative staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and care coordination.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and students as assigned.
• Participate in trainings, continuing education, and professional development.
