Job summary

The Therapy Place in Columbia, SC is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. This full-time, hourly role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care for children from birth to 18, aiming to improve mobility and independence with evidence-based PT services.

You will work closely with families and colleagues to implement individualized care plans, document progress, and support carryover to home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Eligible for and maintains South Carolina Physical Therapy licensure.
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric physical therapy.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to adapt treatment to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for working with children and supporting families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations.

About the role

The Pediatric Physical Therapist is a full-time, hourly position responsible for providing evaluation, treatment, and ongoing care for children from birth through age 18. This role focuses on improving functional mobility, strength, coordination, and independence through evidence-based physical therapy services.

Therapists at The Therapy Place work with a wide range of diagnoses, including gross motor delays, neuromuscular and developmental disorders, orthopedic conditions, and mobility limitations. You will develop individualized plans of care, provide hands‑on treatment, and collaborate closely with families to support carryover into home and community environments.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, educators, and support staff. Therapists may also collaborate within the Bridges School program, supporting an integrated therapy and education model.

This is a full-time, hourly role with consistent scheduling and the opportunity to earn overtime based on caseload and clinic needs.
