Job summary

DeKalb County Board of Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat children from birth to three years old, improving their functional independence. The role involves using adaptive equipment and contributing to the Babies Can't Wait program in various settings, with strong teamwork and documentation.

Applicants should hold a Doctorate or professional degree in physical therapy and be eligible for Georgia licensure; experience with pediatric clients is preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or professional degree in physical therapy and Georgia licensure eligibility.
• Two years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist with pediatric clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats children birth to three years old to maximize their independent physical functioning.
• Works with adaptive equipment to maintain or improve positioning and functional abilities.
• Participates in Babies Can't Wait primary coaching service delivery model and maintains documentation.
• Attend the initial individualized Family Service Plans, and as part of the interdisciplinary team that meets in families' homes, in the office or via WebEx.
