The Center for Pediatric Therapies (CPT) is a full service rehabilitation clinic serving children from birth through age 21 in Southside Virginia. CPT offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat a variety of neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders. Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our kid-friendly outpatient clinics in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia.
The Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. As well, the Physical Therapist Assistant must document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy methods. The PTA works under the supervision of the PT, collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLPs, and teachers.
