Center for Pediatric Therapies is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant in Danville, Virginia. The role focuses on treating children aged birth to 21 through direct patient care, documentation, and education. You will work under supervision of occupational therapists and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications include a current Virginia license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, CPR certification, and preferably experience in pediatric therapy. The clinic emphasizes confidentiality and EEO guidelines.
The Center for Pediatric Therapies (CPT) is a full service rehabilitation clinic serving children from birth through age 21 in Southside Virginia. CPT offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat a variety of neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders. Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our kid-friendly outpatient clinics in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia.
The Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. As well, the Occupational Therapy Assistant must document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy methods. The OTA works under the supervision of the OT, collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, PTs, SLPs, and teachers.
